Elizabeth Beck (right), Executive Director of Heartland Senior Services, awarded Bernie and Linda White a thank you plaque for co-leading Heartland's Community Trivia Nights for the past five years.  This has resulted in 20 successful events and approximately $25,000 in fundraising for Heartland's senior programs.  An honorarium was also given to the North Grand Christian Church, 919 30th Street, for hosting 19 of these events.   Heartland's next trivia night is scheduled for January. Heartland's 20th Community Trivia Night in November culminated with St. John's Episcopal Church (table two) winning the first-place prize of $150.  Pictured with their blue ribbon are, from left, Martin Goddard, Sherry Goddard, Bonnie Megel, Leigh Ann Long, Tim Muggli, Rodger Palmer, Kathy Johnston, and Bill Gutowski.  The second-place prize of $100 went to The Reel Smrt Club and the third-place $50 prize went to Team Salinger.  Other placing teams were:  Ames Choral Society, Ames Town & Country Kiwanis, Evangelical Free Church, Collegiate Methodist Church, Gawley Family & Friends, Ascension Lutheran Church, and St. John's Episcopal Church (table three).
